Why Choose Timber

We really do not know how to talk about Last Mountain Timber, without sharing stories about its founder; Lincoln Dobson.  Straight out of high school, Lincoln backpacked across Europe.  This is when he was first exposed to centuries-old timber frame architecture.  Needless to say, witnessing timber ceilings in cathedrals and seeing the joinery that was hand-cut before power tools, left an imprint on him.
Here at LMT, it makes perfect sense to build the strongest structure you can. We are timber framers because it is the simplest and most beautiful way to build structures that will last, all while minimizing the amount of waste created when harvesting wood.
We are fortunate here at LMT as we have large timber.  Having recycled the timbers out of more than 200 grain elevators and warehouses, we have large structural timber. We are privileged to be timber framers.
Once you come to the shop and see what we can do for your project, you will understand that there isn’t much that we can say that the timber doesn’t say on its own.
Call us and come on out.
